Ann's grandmother, Katherine "Kate" Halpin passed away peacefully in her sleep Thursday, August 27, 2009 in St. Simons Island, GA at age 98.

Great grandchildren: Joseph ("JJ"), Morgan, Sally, Anna, Margo, and Marino

A woman of extraordinary strength and elegance, devoted to her husband,
crazy for her daughter, even more crazy for her grandchildren, prolific
knitter (those of you who have an afghan, raise your hand), early-riser
(never failed to call at 6:30 am to wish Ann happy birthday in college),
maker of pies, listened but did not judge, teacher of discipline ($.25 for
failure to make your bed) and much more.

Service and Funeral Arrangements: Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at
St. Williams Church, St. Simons Island, GA, 11 am ET Tuesday, September 1st.
There will be no calling hours. Internment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery
in Whitesboro, NY at a later date.
